1. Personal data we collect

We collect personal data only when you choose to submit the online enquiry form. Browsing product information, specification tables and technical documents requires no personal data at all.

We do not collect the special categories of personal data defined in Article 6 of the Personal Data Protection Act, which cover medical records, healthcare, genetic data, sex life, health examinations and criminal records.

2. Why we collect it and how we use it

We collect the data above for the following specific purposes, all directly related to your enquiry:

1. Responding to your product enquiries and quotation requests
2. Providing pre-sales advice and specification guidance on HiLook Plus products
3. Providing after-sales technical support, and keeping contact and service records during the warranty period

We do not use your personal data for any purpose beyond those listed above. We do not pass your personal data to the manufacturer, installation partners, distribution channels or any third party for marketing, and we never sell, trade or rent it.

3. Retention period, territory, recipients and method

1. Period: Three years from the date we last contacted you, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. We delete the data on our own initiative once that period ends.
2. Territory: Taiwan (R.O.C.), plus the territories in which the third-party services listed in section 6 operate.
3. Recipients: Our own sales and technical support staff, and the service providers listed in section 6. We disclose it to no one else unless the law requires it or you consent.
4. Method: Stored electronically in our email system and in the systems of the service providers listed in section 6.

4. Your rights and how to exercise them

Under Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act, you may exercise the following rights over the personal data we hold about you:

1. Enquire about it or request access to it
2. Request a copy of it
3. Request that it be supplemented or corrected
4. Request that we stop collecting, processing or using it
5. Request its deletion

Please submit requests using the contact details in section 9. We respond to enquiries, access requests and requests for a copy within 15 days, and to requests for supplementation, correction, cessation of processing or deletion within 30 days. The law allows us to charge the necessary costs, and to refuse a request with reasons where a statutory ground applies.

5. What happens if you do not provide your data

Providing personal data is entirely your choice. Contact name, telephone number and enquiry message are required fields on the enquiry form; without them we cannot identify what you need or reply with a quotation. Every other field is optional and leaving it blank does not affect our reply.

6. Third-party services and international transfers

The Site uses the third-party services below. They may process the data you submit on their own servers, or log your connection details. Some of them run their servers in the United States, so your data may be transferred outside Taiwan and processed there.

1. Formspree (United States): Handles delivery of the online enquiry form, forwarding what you submit to our mailbox at info@aegiron.com.tw and retaining a record in its own dashboard.
2. Google Analytics 4 (United States): Measures site traffic and usage so we can improve the content and structure of the Site.
3. Google Ads (United States): Measures advertising performance and conversions, and may be used for remarketing.
4. Google Fonts (United States): Serves the web font files; your IP address is logged when they load.
5. Amazon CloudFront (AWS): The content delivery network that serves the Site; it produces access logs that include IP addresses.

7. Cookies and tracking technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies through Google Analytics and Google Ads to count visits, recognise returning visitors and measure advertising performance. These cookies do not record your name or contact details.

1. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
2. You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) to stop Google Analytics collecting data.
3. You can adjust or turn off personalised advertising in Google Ad Settings (adssettings.google.com).
4. The Site also stores small preference values in your browser, such as your chosen product list view. These stay on your device and are never sent to us or to any third party.

Blocking cookies does not affect your ability to browse product information or use the technical support tools on the Site.

8. Data security

The entire Site is served over encrypted HTTPS. We restrict access to personal data to the staff who need it, and use it only as far as the work requires. That said, no transmission over the internet or electronic storage can be guaranteed absolutely secure, and we are not liable for a breach arising from causes not attributable to us.
