Set the retention period and you get the drive capacity you need, along with the NVR/DVR recorders and drive combinations that fit.

This tool gives a theoretical estimate: real capacity depends on scene complexity, bitrate control (CBR/VBR) and drive formatting, so allow around 20% headroom. Suggested bitrates follow the official Hikvision HiTools values for medium scene complexity — adjust to your actual footage. Models default to H.265+ (Pro+); check that the codec is enabled on the device.
